Dr Pak Chun Yam to join MCI

Dr Pak Chun (Paton) Yam will join MCI in September 2018 as a Research Associate on social psychology of China and globalisation.

Paton is a social psychologist who received his DPhil (PhD) in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford. Prior to joining the MCI, Paton worked as a fellow at London School of Economics and Political Behaviour, a Research Associate at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Visiting Lecturer in Cultural Psychology at The Polytechnic University of Hong Kong.

His research is grounded in social psychology, using a variety of methodologies (eg surveys, vignettes, experiments, and eye-tracking) to study different social and political psychological phenomena.

Paton holds also an MPhil in Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychology from the University of Hong Kong. Paton obtained a Bachelor in Social Science from Lingnan University.
