Early Career Researchers (ECR) who would like to spend a few months to a year as a Scholar in Residence in the Lee Building can apply for MCI to cover the desk fees the university charges (usually £1-2K) for university affiliation, use of the library, and other facilities. We cannot cover you travel to Manchester or your living expenses while here.

How to apply

Please fill out this form and email it together with a one-page CV to mci@manchester.ac.uk with the subject line, ‘MCI desk fee waiver’. The deadline is the first Friday in May.
